Opening an office or factory in Türkiye: a connectivity procurement checklist

A signed lease and a confirmed opening date do not confirm that the building can receive the connection your business needs. Start the connectivity brief while the site layout and fit-out decisions can still change.

Start with the exact site and the first working day

Send the complete installation address, floor or unit, building contact and intended opening date. Describe whether the location is an office, production site or warehouse. Ask the supplier to distinguish a preliminary availability check from a confirmed delivery plan. A nearby fibre route is a useful lead; it does not prove capacity, building access or a ready connection.

Record who arranges entry permissions, internal cable routes, power and equipment space. These dependencies can hold up an otherwise suitable circuit. If the permanent connection may arrive after fit-out, evaluate an interim service separately, with its own coverage and operating limits.

Describe three traffic destinations

Separate public internet access, traffic to headquarters or another branch, and access to a cloud or data-centre environment. A branch may need all three, but the appropriate service boundary and security controls differ. Private transport does not automatically include internet access or encryption.

  • Public internet: meetings, web applications, supplier portals and email.
  • Private site connectivity: ERP, authorised cameras, shared servers and warehouse systems.
  • Cloud and data-centre traffic: backups, replication, hosted applications and remote administration.

Provide expected concurrent use and upload requirements. Employee count alone is an incomplete capacity brief. Include any public IP, allowlist, VPN or inbound-access dependencies so they are checked before the service is selected.

Compare offers on the same basis

Ask each provider to state download and upload capacity, any committed capacity, handoff, equipment responsibility and the measurement boundary of its service commitments. Compare the recurring charge alongside installation, equipment, tax treatment, contract period and change or cancellation conditions. An attractive headline price is not a complete project cost.

Keep uncertain items visible. “Subject to survey” and “confirmed after building access” are different from a delivery commitment. The person coordinating the order should maintain a short dependency list with a named owner for each open item.

Make the handover useful to operations

Agree an acceptance checklist before installation: wired connectivity, application access, upload performance under representative load, IP configuration and the support escalation route. If a backup is included, test an agreed failover scenario and recovery as part of a planned maintenance window.

Record who receives incident notices, who can authorise changes and where the service details are kept. A speed test alone cannot establish that the ERP, VPN and remote support workflows are ready for opening day.

Use the right team for the Türkiye connection

ADNET focuses on optical infrastructure and regional connectivity. For a business site in Türkiye that needs an access-service assessment, operator coordination and a written commercial proposal, MyFi Business is the relevant group service. Its published process begins with location and application requirements, followed by technical evaluation and an agreed installation scope.

The initial enquiry can be specific without being complicated. Share the address, intended date, main applications and any headquarters connection. Availability, delivery timing and service conditions are confirmed through the assessment and written offer.

Prepare this before requesting an offer

  • Installation address and building contact
  • Opening date and fit-out dependencies
  • Critical applications, upload and concurrent use
  • Headquarters, cloud, VPN and public-IP requirements
  • Backup priorities and acceptance criteria
